We took a piece of mystery fruit and sliced it open, and the consensus seems to be that it's a... lemon tree. These little fellas appear to be unripened lemons (by smell, if not sight) that eventually will grow into ginormous orange-like lemons. Unless oranges smell like lemons in their infancy?

I think now I'm sounding like a person who is painfully uninformed on the subject of citrus fruits. Don't look at me, I grew up in the Midwest where the main crop is corn, with occasional soy fields here and there for interest. I know nothing of fruit growing.
