Gen's mom is in town this weekend, so we spent the day doing a little sightseeing. We drove through Beverly Hills and ended up on Rodeo Drive. I hadn't visited Rodeo Drive since a family vacation about a decade ago, so it was fun to walk around.
We took some pictures (like all good tourists do) at Via Rodeo, including a (Karey says 'Beefeater') British Guard guarding... some store. Whatever that's all about! We window-shopped our way up, and stopped in Lladro, which is where this picture is from. It's a chandelier of fairies! Very cool. Um, $95,000 for this one, which was 6' in diameter, $45,000 if you want the smaller version.
It's fun to play Tourist on occasion. I forget what cool and pretty things there are to look at when I'm not wrapped up in the everyday.
