Tomorrow, Gen and R are going out to Joshua Tree to hike and climb rocks. I was going to go with them, but if it's this hot in L.A.? I'm sayin' NO, THANK YOU to spending the day in the middle of the desert, where there is no shade to be found.

We broke down and have had the AC on for just about the entire time we've spent at home today. This is the first time I've had it on for more than a quick "cool down" this year. I think 100+ temperatures warrants it, don't you? I don't know what people did before air conditioning. I'm glad I don't have to find out.
