Friday Five

Guess what day it is? Hee hee hee.

1. What makes you homesick?
I actually get homesick for Florida more than home-home. I'm so close to home, already, only three hours. But bright blue skies and warm days and Disney commercials (and a thousand other things) make me homesick for Orlando.

2. Where is "home" for you? Is it where you are living now, or somewhere else (ie: Mom & Dad's house, particular state/city)?
I guess I have two homes. Because I LOVE my townhouse here at school, and when I'm up by Chicago for a long time, I start wanting to be back here, but home is really still my parents' house.

3. What makes it home for you? People? Things?
I guess everything. My rooms (here and at home) are so me, filled with things I love and things that just totally reflect me. I am a collector of a lot, and I LOVE pictures, so I have pictures up everywhere of my friends, of everything. But the people definitely make it home. Like being in my parents' house without my parents just wouldn't be the same. And my cat. Heehee.

4. Where is the furthest you've been from home, miles-wise?
Well, I went to London and Glasgow the summer before my freshman year at college, so I guess, mile-wise, that was the farthest from Chicago I'd ever been, but my whole family (including my grandparents) were with me. The farthest I've been from home without my family would be Los Angeles, when I visited some friends, and the farthest I've lived from home would be Orlando. I'm too lazy to figure out the miles for all those places, though. <.g>

5. What are your plans for this weekend?
I'm going to be reading like a madwoman. I have SO much advertising to read (in the true tradition of the Queen of Procrastination). The only real plans I have are to go to the Other Guys concert tonight. WOOHOO!! My excitement. <.g>
